Pacific Northwest District - UUA

Congregations of the Pacific Northwest District

The Pacific Northwest District (PNWD) is one of sixteen districts that embrace the 1,103 self-governing congregations in covenant as members of the Unitarian Universalist Association (UUA). The UUA is governed by a volunteer board of trustees elected by and from the districts. Each district is governed by a volunteer board of directors elected by its member congregations. District staff and volunteers provide local services to help congregations thrive; UUA staff and volunteers do the same on a national level.

The PNWD serves 58 member congregations and two Emerging Congregations in Alaska, western Idaho, Oregon and Washington, and covers over 800,000 square miles of land, the largest in the UUA. PNWD congregations currently count over 9500 adult members, sixth
largest in the UUA.

Please note: Congregations you will find on these pages are member congregations or officially recognized Emerging Congregations of the Unitarian Universalist Association. We do not track and are therefore unable to provide information on non-member groups that self-identify as Unitarian Universalist, other than to confirm their UUA membership status. We encourage all Unitarian Universalists who are unable to attend a UUA congregation to take advantage of virtual UU community through the Church of the Larger Fellowship or the Church of the Younger Fellowship, at right. Our wish is that all Unitarian Universalists will find strength, challenge and joy in covenant with others, wherever and however that may be!
Provides a seven-year history of UUA certified membership in PNWD member congregations.

Congregations which are "fair share" Honor Societies receive a 50% discount on PNWD consulting fees, and are eligible for access to Chalice Lighter grants, UUA building and loan funds, and other honors and programs.
