Specialty consulting or training is partially underwritten by the District, and may also require cost sharing by contracting congregations. Fees vary according to the time commitment. Congregations which are “Full Fair Share” in their contributions of District and UUA dues receive a 50% discount on specialty consulting fees. Congregations in severe financial circumstances may speak to the District Executive about fee adjustments or good faith payment plans.

Assists congregations in understanding and establishing fair compensation practices in accord with UUA guidelines. There is no charge for telephone or email consultation; on-site visits may require some assistance with travel or lodging expense.

If your congregation is under 200 members, particularly if you have no minister, these volunteers are available at no charge for phone, email and occasional on-site consultation. They are ready to help whenever a congregation needs a quick answer or help identifying specific resources for a wide range of situations that are common in UU congregations.

Provides training, consultation and assessment for congregations who wish to embrace healthy communications and proactively deal with conflict. Consultants are trained and professionally experienced in this kind of work. Typically, there is a fee for this service, as it requires extended professional time. Offers assessment, consultation and training to congregations with questions about raising or managing money. Contact the District Executive.

Facilitates congregational/ministerial transitions, interviews and covenants for congregations with new ministers, departing ministers, and ministers or religious educators planning or returning from sabbatical. These services sometimes require cost-sharing by congregations. Congregations in extreme financial circumstances may have all or part of the fees waived to ensure that consultation services are available. Contact the district office. The RE Consultant Team provides training, consultation and assessment for congregations who wish strengthen their Religious Education programming. Consultants are trained and professionally experienced in areas such as RE program start up and administration, DRE transitions, visioning, teacher training, Religious Education Committee strategic planning, and safety. Typically, there is a fee for this service, as it requires extended professional time, although phone or email consultation is free.
