Details and registration information about district events Hello, Keepers of our Congregational Offices:Here are some links, attachments, and requests before we head into summer: First of all, we have a new date for the one-day 2011 District Assembly. Please mark Saturday, February 5 on your calendars. Keynote speaker will be Ysaye Barnwell, founder of Sweet Honey in the Rock. See the attached Portland flyer for lots of details. As additional info becomes available, we’ll be posting it here. If you are attending General Assembly next week or know someone who is, please share the PNWD General Assembly blog link with them. If you aren’t going but would still like to follow what’s happening, be sure to visit the blog. 2010/11 PNWD Pledge Forms are due Thursday, June 24 from your president or their designee. (Pledge forms are online this year and super easy to submit via Survey Monkey!) An email went to presidents yesterday listing the congregations who’ve already submitted their pledge forms. If you have a new president, please be sure to let us know their name and email address. Your treasurer might welcome knowing about this Tax Guide for Churches and Religious Organizations. Our Standing on the Side of Love banner has been really popular. By the end of summer, it will have traveled over 3,000 miles in less than ten months! If you’d like to find out more about borrowing our banner and add your congregation to the queue, click here. Just a reminder that the Supply Preaching Directory I shared this with presidents last month: The UUA website has a terrific resource on their Accessibility page called Disability 101. It offers insights into hidden disabilities and also provides checklists that can be used to evaluate your congregation’s accessibility. Parish Paper Have a wonderful summer! | The Congregational Packet is mailed each quarter to PNWD congregations. Please feel free to print extra copies of the materials included here and to share this information with others. Archive of old Congregational Packet Cover sheet:
